Those who are familiar with the history of Cambodia will recall that during the Khmer Rouge regime ‪#‎Tuol Sleng High School was taken over by Pol Pot’s forces and was turned into the S-21 prison camp, where people were detained and tortured. A place of education was turned into a place that can only be described as hell. 1000 of men and women were tortured in the worst possible way.

I was supposed to spend a couple of days exploring the place but after visiting this place I could not spend even a day here. One can feel the pain and sadness inflicted on people as you walk through the School.

Today they have converted this place into a museum where they have displayed photographs of all the victims along with the metal beds, chains spikes and various tools used by the tormentors..
